Details of our Six Gites in Brittany

Only7km from Pontivy in the centre of Brittany with large heated swimming pool and children's play area

All our Gites have fully equipped kitchen areas complete with gas cookers, fridges and microwave ovens.

Gites Pennerest are to be found in the countryside with gorgeous views over the surrounding farmland, yet we are only 7km away from the beautiful, historic town of Pontivy with a variety of shops and restaurants and a busy Monday morning Market. The local village, Noyal Pontivy is 3km away and has 2 very good bakers, 2 supermarkets, a “pharmacie” and a variety of small shops.

Our Gites have been converted from old farm buildings – the farmhouse itself and the dairy and cowsheds – and therefore are all based on the same site. They open out onto shared BBQ/Eating areas with plenty of chairs and tables for “al fresco” dining. All our Gites have fully equipped kitchen areas complete with gas cookers, fridges and microwave ovens. We also provide laundry room at our Gites (for which a small charge is made for the use of the washing machines) with iron, ironing boards and two rotary clothes lines.

We hope we have provided everything you may require for your family’s holiday, but if we have overlooked anything, being on site ourselves just ask and we will do our best to oblige.

Within the grounds of the gites we have much to keep the family amused –the large solar heating swimming pool, the children’s play area, complete with tree house, swings, slides and a sandpit plus a covered games room with ping-pong, table football, skittles and more. Games for children of all ages are available, even toys for babies and toddlers, and the large recreation field lends itself to team games for everyone.

About Our Gites in Brittany

Vine Gite for 6 people
Gite for 6 persons. Approached by two stone steps from the front courtyard this is part of the original farmhouse built in 1666 and is all on the ground floor. With a welcoming beamed kitchen/dining area following into the lounge area with a working wood burning stove set into the inglenook fireplace. Sleeping accommodation is provided by 1 x double bedroom, 1 x twin-bedded room and 1 x bunk bed room. The shower room/wc is off the living area.

Peach Gite for 6 people
This three-bedroomed gite is approached from the front courtyard by a small flight of stone steps and opens into a large kitchen/dining/lounge area with a shower room/wc off. Also on the ground floor are a separate double room with en-suite shower room/toilet, and a bunk bed room. The third bedroom is twin bedded on the first floor, reached by a wooden staircase.

 Granary Gite for 4-5 people
This gite is all on the first floor, over the Vine Gite, and is approached from the gravelled courtyard at the rear of the complex via an outside flight of stone steps. From the front door, kitchen and bedroom windows are stunning views across the neighbouring farmland and from the living room window one can look across to our very own orchard. The accommodation consists of a galley kitchen, a dining/living area, with a built-in double Breton bed, shower room/wc, and a separate bedroom with 3 single beds.

Walnut Gite for 4 people
From a separate patio and BBQ area for easy outdoor living, the front door of this 2 bedroomed gite opens into the lounge/kitchen/dining area. Also on the ground floor are the shower room/wc and a twin bedded room. The double bedroom is accessible up the open tread staircase from the kitchen/dining area.

Walnut Gite Lounge and Kitchen

Chestnut Gite for 4 people
Gite for 4 persons. Our smallest gite is off the rear courtyard. This 2 bedroom gite has a kitchen/dining/lounge area, a shower room/wc and a bunk bed room on the ground floor and a double bedroom upstairs.

Apple Gite for 4 people
Two steps take you from the corner of the front courtyard into this airy accommodation spread over 2 floors. The kitchen area, dining/lounge area, shower/wc and a twin bedded room are on the ground floor and the galleried double bedroom is on the first floor up an open tread staircase.

 

Baby Equipment for our Gites in Brittany
All our gites are able to accommodate babies and their equipment and we have some sundry items for babies to save you space in your car. We have cots complete with bedding, baby baths, baby towels, and high chairs and there is also a pushchair available. These are on a first come first served basis so please let us know when making your booking. Please also note when making your booking the age of your baby at the time of the holiday and, if your baby is on formula milk, it is prudent to bring plenty with you, as British brands are not normally available.

Mobile Home near Pont Aven, Southern Brittany.

Also available, on a Haven Europe site in Southern Brittany, are 2 mobile homes. One has two twin bedded rooms and a double bedroom, together with a lounge, kitchen/dining room, separate toilet and shower rooms. Situated on a hedged pitch for privacy it comes with a BBQ and a paved patio with table and chairs. The other just around the corner is a two bedroom version with double and twin bedrooms. Everything you could possibly desire from a family holiday is available giving all the ingredients for a relaxing time with the kids. There are three Kids Clubs - Paws club for 4–5 year olds, Tiger Club for 6-10 year olds and T-Co club for teenagers. There are two supervised swimming pools with waterslides, a water splash area and a toddler’s paddling pool. With the children otherwise occupied Mum and Dad can also make use of the other sports facilities or maybe just relax on the sun terrace in front of one of the two bars on site. There is no need to get in the car as there is a supermarket, a laundry room, a games room, a Snack Bar which sells ice creams and a Restaurant on site, but then you would miss out on the beautiful beaches only 5 minutes drive away, reputed to be some of the best in France, sleepy villages, bustling towns and fishing ports, the Breton countryside around and about, and you should never be able to forget the vast array of tempting restaurants and creperies in the region.
 

Gite tariffs & other information
Booking
We will confirm  your booking on receipt of a non-refundable deposit of €100/£75 per Gite per week. The balance must be paid eight weeks prior to the commencement for the holiday. Any customer who has not paid in full eight weeks prior to their holiday, will be contacted, however if the balance isn't forthcoming they will be deemed to have cancelled their booking and the Gite will be offered to be re-let. We suggest a preliminary phone call or email to confirm availability, alternatively visit our booking page and fill in the enquiry form now.

On Receipt of all Gite booking requests, please state whether you wish to be quoted in euros or sterling.

Out of season rates for our Gites in Brittany
We are open all the year round so if you would like a price for a Gite out of season in Brittany, please contact us. Out of season we provide bedding as well in the price of your gite holiday.

Self Catering Accommodation in Brittany
Cooking electricity and water are included in the rent. All bedding an linen is supplied at no extra charge. Cots, baby baths and high chairs are available on request at no extra charge. All damages and breakages must be paid for. Day to day cleaning is the responsibility of the customer, all homes must be cleaned by the customers on departure. Please note Gites are available from 4pm to 10pm each Saturday. We do not allow pets in the Gites.
